The Road and Bridge department is responsible for maintenance and repair of roads and bridges. It also regularly conducts road inspections and, when necessary, responds to emergency situations, including emergency snow removal, water on roadways, and fallen trees.

Meals on Wheels are distributed Monday through Friday in Great Falls. This is often the only meal that some have for the day. We also have group meals where friends, neighbors, and newcomers can enjoy a meal and converse with one another. Transportation is provided to the Great Falls Senior Center Monday through Friday.

An Ombudsman responds to the concerns of elderly persons or disabled adults who live in long-term care facilities. This person can help residents understand and exercise their right to good care. Ombudsman remain neutral when dealing with residents and long-term car facilities. If grounds for a complaint are found, Ombudsman may supply information, suggest solutions, and encourage action or changes on behalf of the resident.
Cascade County Aging Services has one local Ombudsman and one regional ombudsman . The Regional Ombudsman is responsible for the North Central Region extending from Great Falls to the Canadian border. The Regional Ombudsman works with several local Ombudsman throughout the region. There are five regional Ombudsman in Montana located in Great Falls, Polson, Glendive, Roundup, and Helena.

As we grow older, it is apparent that our past choices play a big part in how we age. We are all responsible for our own health . Whether we choose to use tobacco or alcohol, how we eat and exercise, along with past injuries and illnesses partly determine how we will age. Unhealthy choices place a burden on the individual , medical services and society as a whole.
Cascade County provides healthy alternatives to area residents. Exercise classes and health seminars are available in Cascade County Senior Citizen facilities and "Lift for Life", in conjunction with The Peak Health & Wellness Center, helps seniors to maintain health through the use of circuit training. Space is limited.
Mental Health Services are provided through Golden Triangle Community Mental Health Center for Cascade County and the Hi-Line region. Transportation is available through Golden Triangle.
Living at home is a healthy choice for most seniors. A little help with house work or yard work can be the difference between staying at home or in an assisted living facility. Cascade County Aging Services provides help with light housekeeping through the Home Attendant Program. Space is limited and appointments are mandatory.

Public water stations are available twenty-four hours a day at 1100 21st Avenue South, 1400 30th Avenue NE, and 1615 8th Avenue NW. The current rate of purchasing portable water at these locations is $0.25 per 100 gallons. These stations accept only quarters at this time and are maintained by Building Maintenance.

Users can view the indexing information from land documents at no charge. To view document images back to 2001 in addition to the indexing information, you must register with us by completing an application and signing a contract. Our fee for this service is $150.00 per year, to be paid in advance.
